COURSE DELIVERY EXPECTATIONS

A positive learning experience where engagement is two-way.

Bruce utilises positive interpersonal skills, clear verbal and non verbal communication, active and reflective listening.

Bruce facilitates 360° feedback, peer group discussive learning around the subject being taught.

PowerPoint presentation is a reference, not read to learners.

The learner is open to learning new (or refreshing existing) skills and engage positively in the learning.

The learner is able to transfer theoretical learning into a demonstration of practical skills.

BUILDING CONFIDENCE TO DELIVER PRACTICAL SKILLS

Use technology enabled QCPR manikins to enable learners to have confidence that they are doing CPR correctly and to the standards required.

Demonstrating the skill, and giving learners time to practice theoretical knowledge being converted to practical skills, such as CPR,  bandaging, Epi-Pen use, recovery position, triangular bandage use.

Encouragement to achieve the skill through peer learning as well as trainer led learning.

Learn from someone who has decades of experience delivering first aid in real life scenarios and appreciates that achieving an outcome is the key to success, after all real life incidents don’t always fit text book scripts.
